Short biography
“Vital is an enemy of the ordinary. He believes that ideas change the world. He knows that there would be no airplanes if somebody had not had a crazy dream of wanting to fly. And he also knows that nobody would be flying today if there wasn’t someone who knew how to sell these ideas.
As co-founder he has helped Futura to build its reputation of being the most creative agency in CEE. After winning the Agency of the Year title 13 times, the Golden Drum three times, and over 100 international awards in the past thirty years, Vital has also found his place on the wall of the Golden Drum HALL OF FAME. Many EFFIE awards prove that the creativity of Futura is not an end in itself, but that it effectively helps clients to solve challenges.
In 2009, he and his partner Marko Vičič were proclaimed the Advertising Personalities of the Year by the Slovenian Advertising Chamber.
So what is the secret of success? The answer would be: “If the donkey really only went onto the ice once, then nobody would be ice-skating today.” And if someone was to argue that sometimes it is better to wait for the ice to be thick enough, Vital would immediately add: “When the ice is thick enough, everyone else will already be skating.” He also understands the ambition behind it – that in the end it may be most important who owns the ice rink. In all this, he is well aware of the fact that the one who wants to win this game must first know how to swim very well. With his success, Vital has long since proved that he is an excellent swimmer.”
