Short biography
Branko is a former investment banker with more than 30 years of experience in finance and entrepreneurship. He is now active in the company Arima. He was a member of the board of directors at Alta Group, recently acquired by the BKS bank.
He is the founder and a board member of the Business Angels Club of Slovenia that he founded in 2007, which connects start-ups with investors in Slovenia and abroad. The public knows him as the founder and director of the brokerage house Poteza, which he founded in 1992 when the investor market was still in its infancy.
As the President of the Management Board of Poteza Group, he has been designing, planning, and supervising the implementation of the company's development strategies in accordance with the expectations of all its stakeholders. As Deputy Director he participated in the establishment of the First Pension Company d.d., initially as a member and then as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board. He took care of the development of Abanka, the third largest Slovenian bank. As a consultant, he advises several companies and is actively involved in the advisory boards of Businesses Acies Bio, X8 and Agencija za pospeševanje likvidnosti (APL).
As a business angel, Branko actively advises and mentors young entrepreneurs and invests in start-ups as an individual or in collaboration with other business angels. His previous investments include companies such as Acies Bio and Double Recall.
